What is Power Raking?

Power raking is excellent for removing debris and the crust that builds up on a lawn over winter. It’s also a gentle way to remove a small amount of thatch (dead grass) from the lawn, without causing the significant damage that dethatching can cause.

We recommend power raking in early Spring, before new growth has begun. This service opens the lawn surface so that new seed can get better established. It’s also a great way to thicken your lawn, since power raking slices the surface stolons and stimulates new growth.

What is Core aeration?

Core aeration is one of the key ingredients to maintaining a healthy lawn. Overtime, your lawn can become compacted due to walking traffic, heavy rains, pets, snow and ice buildup. When this happens, it prevents the grass from establishing a strong and healthy root system.

Aerating is a lawn service we provide that involves perforating small holes in the soil, approximately 3 inches deep. Once the small plugs are removed from the soil, they are left on top of the turf to allow essential nutrients, air and water to get to the grass roots.

Any package can be customized to suit your needs. EXTRA fees apply for above average sized lots and excessive amounts of debris for our gold package, i.e. haven’t had a yard cleaning in a long time or lots of trees with leftover leaves from fall.
